5. Do you offer cargo insurance, and what does it cover?
6. How do I follow my shipment, and who do I call if something goes wrong?

Comparing quotes fairly

• Compare the same Incoterm, route and volume.
• List destination charges (terminal handling, documentation, delivery): a low freight rate can hide high charges at your end.
• Ask for the validity date. Rates move often.

Warning signs

• A price far below everyone else with no clear list of charges.
• Pressure to pay a personal account.
• No written terms or insurance options.
